Set amongst Tenerife’s lush landscape and volcanic terrain, ProSlide’s design prowess was put to the test with the Siam Park team’s topography and design requests to create the next world’s best.
Saifa, the ultimate Dueling RocketBLAST/FlyingSAUCER Water Coaster, pushes the boundaries of water coaster design, blending high-speed thrills with innovative dueling dynamics. The ride officially opened on August 12, 2023.

Riders race through tight turns, big drops, and steep inclines powered by ProSlide exclusive BLAST® propulsion technology before sweeping around award-winning FlyingSAUCER® features for an intense “drop and dive” sensation. Throughout the race, open low-separator walls (RallyPOINT™ dueling technology) allow riders to see and hear their competitors, keeping the intensity high and the adrenaline pumping.

Saifa is a design collaboration with ProSlide and Christoph Kiessling, the park’s general manager who lives for speed and controlled extreme sensations. ProSlide integrated its patented efficiency improvements to the RocketBLAST Nozzle technology with the installation of Saifa. These improvements enhance the laminar flow of the RocketBLAST water propulsion, thereby reducing the power requirements of Saifa by 50% and water flow requirements by 25%! Further innovations have increased thrust by almost 15%, improving its stance as the most efficient, high performing water coaster on the market.
Riders begin with a 360-degree accelerating spiral drop from an 11 m (36 ft.) tall, themed tower. The unique spiraling drop propels riders at high speeds right into the first dueling booster. As they enter the first open dueling section they catch a glimpse of their opponents, both lanes in awe of the g-forces they just experienced. From there, riders race through the first uphill booster section into inward-facing FlyingSAUCER 30 features, both angled at a jaw-dropping 25 degrees where they size up their opponents again.
The race continues in a dueling uphill climb through a two-booster camel bump to the peak of the volcanic terrain of Tenerife. Headed straight into opposing EXPLOSION curves, guests are propelled away from each other and into FlyingSAUCER 30s angled at 20 degrees. But it’s not over yet! In a high-speed fly-by through a face-to-face RocketBLAST booster section, opponents race into another set of FlyingSAUCER 30s where the finish line comes into view. The race ends in an exciting bubba style drop to the landing pool.
