It brings Sony Pictures’ box office hit film franchise to life in the Resort’s wildest adventure yet for families.
Escaped from the cinema and way beyond a board game, World of Jumanji sucks families through a labyrinth of pathways! Our guests enter the World of Jumanji to be greeted by the iconic and unmissable Jaguar Shrine structure which looms 55ft tall, keeping a watchful eye out over all who enter as it awaits the return of the curse-lifting Jaguar’s Eye jewel.
Guests are invited to follow in the footsteps of Dr Bravestone, through a whole world of adventures to locate the Jaguar’s Eye Jewel, lift the curse and save Jumanji – in an ongoing series of heart pounding family adventures found within the new land.
Visitors encounter detailed thematic elements, including an overturned lorry, board game pieces, a hungry hippo and an obstacle course tailored for younger adventurers, all set amidst lush jungle foliage.
Jumanji is a hugely exciting, fun brand which appeals to kids and big kids thanks to the original film with Robin Williams and the remake with ‘The Rock’ aka Dwayne Johnson.
The coaster – Mandrill Mayhem, a winged, launch shuttle ride, with an inversion – sweeps riders up in the long arms of a mandrill, as the horde whisks them around the sites of Jumanji, all while dodging the hazards of the jungle. The most fearsome of all the wild animals, the mandrills are unpredictable and launch at full speed through the treetops, flipping upside down on a hair-raising adventure, spiralling to the summit of the 55ft tall Jaguar Shrine. Guests glimpse the Jaguar’s Eye Jewel glow before falling and braving the adventure again… backwards. It travels at 42mph and consists of 36 sections of rollercoaster track, totaling 350m long. It has seven rows of seats, six of which face forward, with one, the back row, that faces backwards, resulting in many ways to ‘ride’.
The two further adventures at World of Jumanji are Mamba Strike – dodging the fangs of the black mamba on a dizzying, untamable ride in the bazaar. Guests are then invited to swerve a herd of stampeding ostriches on a whirlwind ride in the dunes on Ostrich Stampede.
With Jumanji theming throughout the design of this world, guests are fully immersed in the experience – offering a ’film to fun-filled experience’ for a popular brand. We know that guests particularly Gen Z – want this fuller experience, that doesn’t just stop with the traditional film and popcorn moment or streaming at home – they want to ride it, touch it, taste it and create their own personal story from it.
