They combine installation flexibility with authentic 4K images that are deep, smooth, and detailed, thanks to Panasonic’s 2-axis pixel-shifting Quad Pixel Drive technology.

The series-leading REQ15 delivers up to 15,000lm of brightness, providing stunning 4K visuals. Its Quad Pixel Drive can sync with Panasonic’s ET-SWR10 Real-Time Tracking Projection-Mapping System to fuse digital content and analogue motion within XR attractions or stage performances. With a native contrast ratio enhanced to 25000:1 with Dynamic Contrast, it delivers deep blacks and bright whites – ideal for immersive experiences.

Effortless Workflow and Future-Proof Capabilities

Panasonic’s 1-Chip DLP™ projectors future-proofs users’ immersive projection infrastructure. They provide flexibility for organisations that do not want to be locked-in to a single standard or infrastructure set-up. This enables various optional proprietary or third-party function boards to be accepted. With an appropriate board, users can adapt, scale, and expand connectivity to suit the application’s interface or AVoIP standard – without extensive and costly hardware changes.

This has been used in a groundbreaking deployment to great effect in ‘The Sistine Chapel Heritage’ exhibition in Warsaw’s PGE National Stadium – enabling the wonders of the Sistine Chapel to be enjoyed outside of Rome for the first time. Using 39 Panasonic 1-Chip DLP™ projectors, delivering up to 12,000lm of high contrast projection across the walls and ceiling, the attraction is one of the first to use a distributed architecture.

This is achieved with HIVE’s cost-effective BeeBlade media server on a board, inserted into the Intel® slot on Panasonic’s REZ12 1-Chip DLP™ series of Intel® SDM-enabled projectors. This approach reduces complexity by eliminating the need for any complex signal distribution networks and excess wiring. It also reduces costs and simplifies connectivity by removing the need for a central media server hub.

The Intel® SDM slot was also a game-changer for Sylvain Gorgette, Product Manager for projectors at leading AV rental company, LANG AG, when choosing the Panasonic REQ12 1-Chip DLP™ projector: ”Thanks to the SDM input slot, the projector allows seamless connection with various devices. In addition, it will be able to support future standards like the latest SMPTE 2110 technology.”

Perfect for 360° Immersive Projection

Seamless blends are vital in immersive 360° spaces, especially when projecting on curved screens. Older projectors often struggle with edge blending and colour matching, resulting in visible seams and colour discrepancies that detract from the overall experience. Panasonic’s 1-Chip DLP™ projectors excel in creating immersive environments with uniform whites and consistent colours across multiple projectors.

The class-leading REQ15 delivers blur-free projection of 2K/240Hz content over multiple edge-blended screens with a latency of 6ms or less. The REQ15’s black-level settings offer point-based border adjustment for arbitrary screen shapes, allowing black levels to be set precisely, and settings applied to the entire blend for a seamless multi-screen image.

Supreme Reliability with Maintenance-Free Operation

Many of Panasonic’s 1-Chip™ DLP projectors feature an optical engine and laser light source module that complies with the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529) standard.

This removes the need for an air filter and enables 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, reducing costs, downtime, and operational disruptions. They also feature a liquid-cooling system that enables continuous operation in dusty environments, whilst minimising noise, ensuring visitors aren’t distracted.

Ultimately, Panasonic’s 1-Chip™ DLP projectors set a new standard in immersive projection, combining advanced technology, high performance, long-term reliability, and cost-efficiency.
